Sorry I wasn't much of a conversationalist when you called me, the other day. I know I said I was really grateful for you checking up on me, after the big news reports, but I meant it. I was just a bit... Shell-shocked, that was all. Didn't know if I was suddenly going to get a knock on my door from the government or something, all things considered. Only a few hours before, I was still trying to get as far away from 'ground zero' as possible.

Something tells me this might have been a warning to take a break from working on my book, so... Guess I'll be doing that. Haven't had too much luck with the research, anyway, since moving out here.

Anyway, just wanted to wish you well and let you know I'm OK.

Hope your unlife's better than mine is, right now.
